Ideally, newborn photography should take place within the first two weeks of baby’s arrival when baby is sleepiest and can curl up into cosy positions.

I have a purpose-built studio for newborn babies, it’s a real sanctuary where you can sit back, have a cup of tea, put the TV on and watch your precious baby be photographed. Maybe this will be your first outing with baby, and so I promise I will do everything I can to make this a memorable and relaxing experience.

My images are sweet and simple, I intend to capture your baby as naturally as possible. Newborns are so perfect, there is no need to decorate them with flowers and fluff. Ten years of working with babies and listening to parents has taught me this.

I’ve had three babies, so I really understand how you’re feeling when you arrive at the studio. Tired, maybe a little overwhelmed. Above all, I want to reassure you that there’s no rush to get the photos done and absolutely no expectations on you and your baby. Although I always have a plan and a structure for the session, there is a real element of go-with-the-flow. Let’s just see what baby wants to do today.

“My partner and I went to Charlotte for our newborn shoot and we’re over the moon. From the moment we arrived we were so pleased, the environment was calm, homely and we just loved everything about it. Charlotte was amazing with our son, she was very calm and gentle and let everything flow naturally in the shoot. i.e not putting baby in positions he didn’t want to be in. I can’t wait to use Charlotte in future for our shoots. Thank you so much for giving us a lovely experience.” Chantelle Alicia, Wokingham
